IMDB TOP 60 AND THE BECHDEL TEST

This infographic illustrates the relationship between IMDB's top 60 films, the date they came out, their worldwide cumulative gross, and whether they pass the Bechdel test.

In this infographic, the Bechdel test is defined as a tool to measure the representation of women in fictional media. A film must have at least two named female characters who talk to each other about something other than a man in order to pass the Bechdel test.

At the bottom of the poster, the films are list in order of where they rank in the IMDB top 60. In the center, the films are placed on a timeline. The films on the left pass the Bechdel test and the films on the right fail. The half circles on the timeline show how much each film made.

The information on this infographic was taken from the IMDB website. The data was collected in April 2021.
